Review: Palm Beach Resort in San Juan, Batangas

Last May 6 & 7 (Monday and Tuesday), our office held its team building/strategic planning/summer outing at Palm Beach Resort in San Juan, Batangas. It’s a good three-hour travel from Manila thru SLEX and Star Tollway. The place is huge and tucked behind the mountains which I think makes it more private and relaxing than other resorts in the popular Laiya beach strip. Actually, it’s not part of Brgy. Laiya anymore but of Brgy. Hugom (the one next to Laiya).

Last Saturday, my SIL brought us to this Swiss-inspired place in Tagaytay called Cross Winds Swiss Luxury Resort. Actually, it was her sort of birthday celebration (she’s just turned 30). The place is situated along Tagaytay-Calamba Road just after Picnic Grove. It’s quite easy to locate.

Matabungkay Beach Hotel: Our Company Outing Venue

Last April 9, Valor Day here in Manila which is considered a legal holiday, we trooped all the way to Batangas to have our company outing at Matabungkay Beach Hotel in Lian, Batangas. To go there, you have to use the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Road instead of following the Star Tollway-Lipa route. The entire La Cocina de Tita Moning staff (both full-time and part-time) along with our respective families had a fun day tour there.

Review: Virgin Beach Resort in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas

Note: This post was supposed to be posted in April 2012 when the event took place. But it’s better late than never. If you’re already planning your summer vacation in the Philippines in 2013 or beyond, this might be of help. :)

Our office outing last weekend was held at the charming Virgin Beach Resort (VBR) in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. I was so looking forward to this. It’s only my second summer adventure this year, after all. I definitely want more, and if I could, I would. But this isn’t about my strong desire to have as much summer adventures this year, it’s about this beach resort in Laiya touted to be one of the best in the area. I think it deserves the title as we truly enjoyed our overnight stay there!

Hey…It’s More Fun in the Philippines!

It’s more fun in the Philippines. This exact phrase is the new tagline of our Department of Tourism (DOT). The aim is to promote the Philippines to the world. The aim is to triple the number of tourists going here. We can only hope that this tourism campaign of the DOT launched just last Friday (January 6) succeeds this time.
